Visiting the Media Center:
*Individual- Before and after school; classroom teacher writes a pass; during break & lunch if available
*Group - teacher signs-up class or small group

*Guides to Materials
Resources:
*Automated Card Catalog – use our online catalog Alexandria to search for books, videos, etc.
*Galileo & Gale Databases- search electronic periodicals, reference books, and newspapers
*Follett Shelf- download online or use mobile app to read a variety of fiction books
Materials You Can Check-Out:
*Laptops & Other Equipment - Current class period checkout only (25 cents fine per class period)
*Fiction & Non-Fiction - 2 week checkout (10 cents fine per day)
*Reference Books - after 3 pm/overnight (25 cents fine after 8 am)
Magazines - after 3 pm/overnight (25 cents fine after 8 am)
Checking Out Materials:
*Bring materials to circulation desk and staff will check out materials to your library account
*Students may sign-out materials at circulation desk if staff is not available
*Don’t forget to write the date due on the slip in front of the book
Internet Usage in the Media Center:
*Must have a educational purpose for using/ no leisure surfing
*Must follow all rules from school’s internet policy
Reminders:
*You are responsible for material you borrow from the library
*Never check out materials for others
